Accessible City Tour National Socialism in Munich – Hitler’s rise to power is unthinkable without Munich, because the decisive course for the rise of National Socialism was laid here as early as 1920. The title of the “capital city” had already been given to Berlin, but Adolf Hitler declared Munich the “capital of the German movement”. The beginning of the end!

The economy of the Weimar Republic after World War I was characterized by structural weakness, a lack of competitiveness vis-à-vis other countries, high inflation, a division of the economy into cartelized sectors and a lack of capital as a legacy of the war and the Versailles Treaty. With the Enabling Act (1933), the regime ultimately aimed to make the economy fit for war.

The city tour “National Socialism in Munich” can be adapted to your individual needs. Can be combined with a visit to the Dachau memorial site, a trip to the Eagle’s Nest or to the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg.
